Studded in Gold

"Shining, shimmering, splendid."

Everytime I see something shiny, the line from Aladdin's movie, A Whole New World, plays in my head and I sing out that line. (Disney has a lifelong effect on children! I can still sing The Little Mermaid's "Part of your World" from start to finish.)

This outfit stars the gold studded top I bought from Greenhills. The moment I saw it, there was a feeling, an instinct that whispered, "Get it." It was an impulse buy because I didn't even get to fit it. But it was the last one on the rack and I snatched it up before the girl beside me did. And then I gave her the evil eye and cackled like a witch. (No I didn't, promise.)

Anyway, what was your favorite Disney movie growing up? Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, perhaps? And did it affect you in any of your fashion choices? I loved Ariel from The Little Mermaid but you don't see me flip-flopping around with a green tail.

Hugs,
Belated Bloomer

  1. My two favorites were always The Lion King and The Emperor's New Groove! Sadly, neither very conducive to fashion inspiration, haha, but it's so true how much Disney has affected this generation! You look shining, shimmering, splendid indeed!

    p.s. Happy belated birthday!

  4. My favorite is Pocahontas, but I'm not really inspired by that fashion...haha. I did buy my prom dress because it reminded me of Sleeping Beauty.

    1. Me too...except that I didn't like that she flopped around on land in her green tail. I did try that with a pillowcase though. Hahaha!
