Black and White (Zebra?) Bat-wing Top: Korean brand
White Bandage Skirt: Random from 168
Silver Bangles and Earrings: Bazaar
Black Patent Pumps (Wider-fit): Marks and Spencer
Today, I decided to go over the wild side. Okay, not really wild, but animal-print kind of wild.
Black and white belong to the safe neutral zone, but an outfit composed of neutrals doesn't have to be predictable or boring. So I went with a loose animal print top, cinched the waist with a silver metallic belt and paired it with a white bandage skirt.
I've been pity-partying a little because I'm missing out on a lot of good-looking stackable arm candy/accessories. See,I have thick wrists and can't fit into most bangles unless I remove a knuckle or two. Same goes for a thick neck that turns necklaces into chokers and ten thick fingers that can't fit into cocktail rings. Add to that a pair of big, wide feet that can't fit into regular-sized shoes in the Philippines too.
I probably should have entitled this post, "A Bit on the WIDE Side." ...Or a lot. Haha!
Hmm...maybe I should make my own bracelets. Maybe a DIY tutorial is in order. Maybe next week.
What do you think?
Hugs,
Belated Bloomer
Make your own bracelets! I think you look gorgeous, so screw all those companies and their teeny-tiny bracelets.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the boost of confidence, Erin! :)

DeleteI would love to see what bracelets you DIY!! Sorry that most of them don't fit you, that must be so frustrating. I DO love this outfit though! You look very chic in black and white.

Thank you Marie. I just have to find the time to do it! :D
DeleteThanks for stopping by my blog & I just started to sew a couple of years ago! For the same reason better fit clothes & it's nice to wear something that everyone else is not. You should def make your own bracelets & like your style!
ReplyDeleteAwesome. I plan to learn the basics when I get a sewing machine and then find my way from there. :) Thanks Denise!
DeleteWe have the same problem. I have wide feet. I find it hard to find shoes that fit because my feet are WIDE, but they are small.
ReplyDeleteI'm a size 6, and I have to buy size 7 or 8 just so my feet can fit on its widest part. But as you can imagine, the 'fit' of the shoes will now be awkward.
My feet are size 10. So you can probably imagine that I'd have an even harder time finding size 11's. But I realized that shoes, like everything else of value, are worth the time and effort. :)
