Black Tank Dress: Gap
Striped Neon Tank: Greenhills Tiangge
Bracelets: Boracay
Sunglasses: Fendi
White and Gold Earrings: 168 Mall
Black Bowling Bag/Purse: Babila from Hongkong

Let me share something that happened recently. My cellphone was undergoing a mid-life crisis after three years of faithful service. It had lost life's meaning and was looking for a big change. On a trip to the toilet, it spontaneously decided to switch careers and become a scuba diver instead. Now after its headlong rush into the ceramic pool and getting rescued by its owner (Yes, I stuck my hand in there to fish it out. Good thing it happened at home or I would have left it to drown.), it is in the I.C.U. undergoing treatment. I still don't have any news if my cellphone will make it or not.

Before you get too bored with my cellphone troubles, let's move on to my outfit.

How do you wear a tank dress when you're feeling a little conservative? If you're like me who's not really comfortable with showing cleavage (especially not on a casual day out), then layering would be a safe alternative. I chose to layer the black tank dress over a striped neon tank and wore some beach-inspired accessories to add a little more color. Finished it with some sunnies and I was good to go.

Would you have done differently? Any suggestions as to how the outfit could be interpreted? What would you have done if your cellphone suddenly decided to become a scuba diver, an astronaut or a sky diver?

Hugs,
Belated Bloomer

  4. oh no! I am totally afraid of my phone falling into the toilet. But hey, that means you get to get a new one, right? Thanks for the lovely comment on my blog! I have the same problem with dresses with lower necklines. I have no problem with showing cleavage, but sometimes, I think dresses these days are made for the less endowed. Love how you layered with that top!
