You know about those pieces in your closet that you've always wanted but don't seem to know how to wear? My sequined skirt was one of those. It was gifted by my aunt from the US, and although I loved it right away, I just didn't know how I would wear it. I tried pairing it with a plain gold top but the elasticized waistband made me look even top-heavier. It took about a year before it finally got its chance in the spotlight. And the main reason that this outfit came to fruition? That gorgeous animal print necklace.

I wore this out to a family dinner where our family met with the family of my sister's boyfriend. No, not to talk about an impending engagement or an upcoming wedding, but just to get to know each other and eat gosh-darn-delicious food at Summer Palace in Edsa Shangrila. Now, everytime I see this skirt, I will be reminded of juicy jumbo prawns coated in cereal and delicious mayo dressing. Yum.

I love a good outfit when eating good food. Don't you? :)
