Pretty in Pink

Pastel Pink Dress: Apple and Eve
Strappy Nude Heels: SM Parisian Plus
Pink Monogrammed Bag: Juicy
Pearl Bracelets: DIY by Me!

I have a big brute of a bruise on my knee and I blame it on Carly Rae Jepsen. Her song, "Call Me Maybe" kept playing and replaying in my head, flowing out of my mouth in repetitive chorus, obnoxiously pushing any other thought out of my head, forcing my head to subconsciously bop to the bead only I can hear, when my toe caught on a step and my poor knee slammed hard against the cold marble floor. OUCH.

There goes my song and dance career.

On a more related note, my outfit's inspired by an afternoon tea party held in a beautifully manicured garden. I've always imagined a setting like the one in Alice in Wonderland with the tea and treats, minus the mad hatter and the crazy rabbit. The pink pastel dress, the pearl bracelets, the small pink bag and the strappy nude sandals are asking for it. All I'm lacking is a floppy hat and I'm good to go.

Now if only I could stop singing, "Hey, I'd just met you... And this is crazy... But here's my number... So call me maybe..."

Hugs,
Belated Bloomer

  1. I love that song, but not as much as I love this dress! It has a definite Alice vibe!

    1. The song doesn't really mean anything, but it's quite addicting, isn't it? :D

    1. Tea with the Queen? I'm afraid she'll say something like "Off with her head!" Haha! :D

  5. That is a darling little dress! And, about the bruises, GIRL... if only you could see how brutalized my legs look. 6 mosquito bites, three hideously-colored bruises, one scar and one healing scratch... I've been doing everything in my power to cover 'em up!

    1. Oh dear, and I thought I had it bad. Wish geniuses would invent something to eliminate those darn mosquitoes! Face foundation or concealers usually disguise them enough that they blend in a bit. :)
