Utility Star-Studded Vest, Neon Bracelet and Rhinestone Necklace: Forever 21 Plus
Yellow Tube Dress: Greenhills
Yellow Wedges: Cotton On / Rubi
Vintage Leather Bag: Mom's

Introducing my first ever utility vest! I've always seen utility jackets or vests as very mannish and outdoorsy, and coming in a color that reminds me of my two-day stint as a girl scout. However with star studs and ties that could be pulled to cinch the waist in, this particular piece makes an awesome fashionable statement.

The pockets are an added bonus to place various knick-knacks in. Case in point, I didn't want to accidentally hit or snag my gold rhinestone necklace and risk losing one of the stones, so I placed it in a pouch tucked in my pocket to be worn upon arriving at the birthday party I was attending. The night went on and I enjoyed feasting in the buffet of the Crowne Plaza's Seven Corners, sneaking out a bit for some outfit photos and then coming back to realize I had forgotten to wear my necklace! Anyway, here it is for reference. Imagine how much bling-ier my outfit would have looked if the necklace was in the picture.

Hugs,
The Belated and Forgetful Bloomer

  1. The utility vest offers some toughness here, and is not a bad touch with the pale yellow dress and these nice sandals. So I say this is a very cool outfit post. Nice one!
