For someone who's been afraid of skirts and dresses her whole life long, starting a blog that celebrates women's curves gave this late bloomer the chance to finally come out of the closet, so to speak. I have long been a secret stylista working in the background (dressing up anyone who'd ask me, really) because clothes in my size were hard to come by. Then, came the revolution of plus size women empowerment and influx of fashionable plus size clothing, leaving me with no excuses NOT to walk the talk, and allowing my fashion dress-up dreams to finally come to life.
Please vote for me for this year's Navabi Curvy Blog Award, because I would like to represent every curvy and plus size woman who struggled with her body, who thought that she was never good enough because she couldn't fit into the mold, who settled for fading into the background than getting her share of the light. I am my own person now, owning my flaws, strength and curves that I now proudly flaunt.
Your vote would help me celebrate curves on a bigger scale!
It may be the latter part of the voting period, but as my blog's tagline says, "It's better late than never!"
